  • Lisbon .The ESG Consultant will report to the Head of Sustainability.Our EMEA Sustainability team includes 100+ specialists across 10 countries. We work with owners, occupiers and investors and provide advice to help improve performance and productivity, enhance reputation, and reduce risk. Role Purpose

The purpose of this position is to support delivery of ESG Services, to clients in Portugal.- You will work in close collaboration within the wider sustainability and your client contacts to ensure that each client has access to best-in-class strategic advice on how to approach ESG.The

  • focus will be on:
  • Managing corporate, fund and asset level Sustainability initiatives and programmes.
  • Facilitating implementation of various types of Sustainability related measures and engagements.

You will have the opportunity to work on creating and delivering a suite of ESG solutions to our clients, which can cover both occupier and investor clients. The include national but also international investors, with pan-European portfolios, allowing you to work with colleagues from different countries in Europe. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, reporting and evolution of ESG strategies for Clients.
  • Responsible for the development, benchmarking, implementation and review of appropriate sustainability objectives, targets, and improvement programmes for funds/portfolios.
  • Monitor and report on fund/portfolio sustainability performance and progress against sustainability objectives.
  • Lead regular catch-up calls/meetings with Clients. Routinely prepare and present at Client meetings to increase sustainability awareness and engagement.
  • Provide support and technical advice to all stakeholders to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities for sustainability.
  • Innovate and lead initiatives to engage and educate tenants/occupiers to increase data coverage and sustainability performance for funds/portfolios.
  • Respond to requests for information regarding existing ESG strategy performance from rating and reporting agencies, current or prospective investors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and best practice to ensure continuing legal compliance and best practice in Europe.

Other Duties- Business development by participating in pitches, preparing marketing materials and relevant technical documents such as case studies or benchmarking analysis.

  • Build relationships and identify opportunities for clients to benefit from our knowledge in a wide range of areas.
  • Collaborate with our Research team, working with key information and data, contributing to the creation of business insights and for the thought leadership of the company.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, service development and cross-selling services.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, both in Portuguese and in English.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to coordinate projects and programmes that require input from multiple clients, colleagues, and supplier staff.
  • Ability to manage internal and external client expectations including on agreed scopes of work.
  • Ability to engage and educate a diverse set of stakeholder groups including fund managers, property managers and building managers.
  • Detail-oriented: strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment.
  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in English.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change).
  • 5+ years professional experience working as an ESG programme manager, Sustainability consultant, or similar.
