The Role Purpose: Oversee and monitor the design, implementation and progress of initiatives linked to the employee life cycle, ensuring consistency and alignment across all of GKN automotive. Coordinate and collaborate with Human Resources and other functional areas to ensure that the relevant behaviours, policies and procedures are adopted in a consistent way. Lead on employee engagement, ensuring ownership both at global and functional levels. Support the VP of Talent, Leadership and Culture (TLC) in strengthening the people agenda and building the team. What you’ll do: Strategy & Delivery Be accountable for the strategy design and delivery of key initiatives across employee engagement & retention, diversity, equity and inclusion, employer branding and wellbeing. Actively collaborate with the rest of the TLC team to develop and deliver the right support and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee on- and off-boarding, and talent retention to meet business needs. Identify and monitor key KPIs and demonstrate progress across the organisation. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion & wellbeing: Advance our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roadmap by building high levels of professional credibility and trust with internal and external partners to design, deliver and operationalise DEI initiatives against our targets that support business strategy and performance. Continue to build on our approach to wellbeing as we further formalise our future strategy Employee Engagement: Deliver our engagement survey, supporting the business to understand and act on results to drive employee experience. Use the data from our engagement surveys to inform Talent, Learning and Culture initiatives. Employer Value Proposition: Support the implementation and scale-up of our new employer brand, ensuring this is activated internally and externally. Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, the HRBP community and the Communication team to ensure our employer brand is embedded and promoted internally and externally. Ensure the employer brand is embedded in core people processes and is illustrated via employees to boost engagement and retention. Stakeholder engagement: Build trust and relationships at all levels of the organisation and act as a subject matter expert to inform decision-making in relation to our people agenda Ensure that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plans Support key employee experience initiatives, develop a comprehensive policy framework and actively lead when required on its implementation. Identify, communicate and/or lead the actions needed to implement key elements of our strategy or plan; explain the relationship to the broader organisation's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals. What we’re looking for: Experience working as an Employee Experience subject matter expert in a global, matrixed and/or cross-functional environment to create a high-quality employee experience that aligns with the organisation's goals and values Proven ability in leading the design and execution of innovative employer brand, engagement, diversity, equity inclusion and/or well-being initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture and drive inclusion and overall employee satisfaction. Masters degree in HR or related subject would be desirable but is not essential Skills you’ll have: Leadership & delivery: ability to work in a matrixed environment with varying levels of support or resources to successfully design and execute initiatives through others. Planning and management: delivers what is committed and holds others to account. Measure and track performance: to ensure projects remain on track with key KPIs or targets and influences corrective actions where required. Communication: able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and cultures Managing complexity: able to make sense of complex challenges and navigate a way through to solve problems. Data analysis & reporting: able to leverage data and external insight to guide decision-making, identify trends, inform business recommendations and measure progress.
