It is valuable if you:think creatively when problems come up;take a hands-on approach;have a great collaborative team spirit.If this sounds of interest to you then check the challenges that we have for you as described below.LocationLisbon, PortugalKey ResponsibilitiesPerform accounting operations, according to company accounting policy and guidelines, in line with accounting standards;Provide advice and solve accounting and technical issues based on the analysis performed;Ensure the monthly & quarterly closing accounts of the company as an active role in requests related to:Payroll and PTO accruals;Other accruals required;VAT clearings;Fixed assets review;Prepaid expenses (deferrals);Intercompany clean up.Reconciliation, analysis and monitoring of the break-down detail for Balance Sheet accounts according to their risk;Document SOX controls in the internal audit board;Closely monitoring of a few entities from EMEA as the controller in charge (straight relation with accounting providers of a few Infinera’s EMEA companies) such as:Review analysis, reporting and monitoring of Financial Statements prepared by accounting providers;Perform analytical review of the significant accounts;Assist with adjustments to be performed between local and group books;Answer external auditors’ requests and queries;Work with the manager toward specific financial objectives including enhancing the control environment for monthly transactions;Use process excellence and a continuous improvement mindset to generate and share best practices with the team;Participate in other projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.Required qualificationsUndergraduate degree in Accounting or equivalent;Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting or auditing;Proficient in English as a working language;Solid knowledge of accounting practices, processes and tools;Computer skills from the user's perspective, namely Excel;Ability to work with various groups across the organization and other time zones (India and US);Empathy and team spirit;Financial analysis, analytical capabilities and critical sense;Analytical thinking and high level of accuracy;Proactive and reliable person;Working independently and efficiently;Combines flexible attitude with a hands-on mentality.Would be great if you haveRelevant experience at a multinational company;Relevant experience at a multi-currency technology company;Knowledge of working with SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning);Accountant certification.OtherFlexible working hours and hybrid work location;Attractive compensation package and additional benefits.
