We strive to hire talent that demonstrates our beliefs and our competencies.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Legal Intern will report to our Senior Legal Counsel – Transactional & Compliance and assist H.B. Fuller’s dynamic, global legal team to support our internal business clients and partners across all three of H.B. Fuller’s business units, particularly in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EIMEA), North America, and Asia Pacific.PRIMARY DUTIESThis individual will be expected to:Support the global Law Group, as needed, withlegal research across various jurisdictions (e.g. EU Directives on regulatory topics such as waste packaging, competition laws, arbitration etc.);updating and improving processes and process documentation;drafting certifications for lawyer signing, including know your customer (KYC); documentation, corporate secretary certifications, etc.; anddaily routine tasks, e.g. tracking and filing.Using H.B. Fuller’s standard template contracts, prepare the first draft ofconsultancy services, agent and distributor contracts, adapting these in line with business requests;amendments to update existing contracts with customers and suppliers; andnotices to terminate such contracts.Undertake the first review and mark up of contracts from customers or suppliers, with the aid of H.B. Fuller’s checklists and offer comments/solutions.Assist in creation of a flowchart of intake questions for clients requesting various agreements, merging existing contract intake form questions into one flowchart/workstream in preparation for a future Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system or PowerApps (Microsoft workflow tool) improvement.Serve as key backup and/or overflow for secrecy agreement reviews (CDA/NDA).Review revisions made by customers to H.B. Fuller’s standard bonus agreement and offer comments/solutions.Align H.B. Fuller’s standard provisions (e.g. trade compliance, intellectual property, confidentiality, data privacy etc.) across existing contract templates, to ensure consistency.Send out reminders to internal business clients regardingthe Law Group’s contract review intake forms, standard third-party compliance steps; andexisting bonus and consignment stock processes; andwhere (on internal sites) to locate templates, process documents and training.Support the Law Group with preparing presentations, e.g. training for internal business clients and partners.Other General Matters Assist with H.B. Fuller’s company website and intranet ‘revamp’ project, to ensure consistency across geographical webpages, incl. translations of web pages.Assist with special projects, as needed.Serve as backup for other transactional, compliance and subsidiary management duties in the Law Group globally, as needed.Minimum Requirements Degree in Law or related fieldGood communication – ability to independently interact with different stakeholdersExcellent written and spoken EnglishGood knowledge of Microsoft Office, including preferably Visio flowchart toolsPositive and enthusiastic team playerGood organizational and time management skillsPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTGeneral office environment - H.B.
