Credit Management & Tax Accounting Specialist Lisboa

Multinational company, operating in the retail sector is looking to reinforce their financial team in Portugal.

Reporting to the Head of Finance in Portugal, your main responsibilities will include the following tasks: Key Tasks & Responsibilities :

  • Credit Management ( order management process) :

  • Daily credit order release;

  • Review and propose Customer credit limits on timely manager;

  • Monthly closing account receivables reporting (ageing of debts analysis follow-up with sales representatives);

  • Dobtfull management process and balance provision

  • Order to Cash ( AR process) :

  • Liaison with Field Sales and Field service managers to analyze blocked orders for customers with overdue invoices.;

  • Contact with the customer to solve queries;

  • Open items customer accounts analysis and propose clearing;

  • Internal / External local audits support for account receivables;

  • Asset Acquisitions or retirement :

  • Management of fixed asset master data;

  • Analyse and control inventory list;

  • Support the budget control for refurbishment areas jointly with the Facility manager;

  • General Ledger & Taxes

  • Sales bonus accrual GL validation (liaison with sales key account and BO manager;

  • Manage the overhead accruals monthly report accounting;

  • Prepare Fiscal declarations monthly ( VAT/DMIS/MOD30/ WITHHOLDING / SAFT);

  • Prepare local reporting for statistical obligations ( INE /Siliamb /Amb3E /Banco de Portugal);

Job Experience & Skills Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar;
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience as an accountant or controller;
  • Professional experience in Credit Management;
  • Strong knowledge of SNC and Fiscal law;
  • Advanced Excel skills and office tools;
  • Advanced English communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Spanish communication skills are a plus;
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP FI CO is a plus;
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
