At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. Job OverviewThe Supplier Planning Manager is a key role, responsible for executing, developing, and implementing strategies to optimize the supply chain, ensuring a consistent and efficient flow of goods from suppliers and or subcontractors towards AUTO EMEA plants and DCs.This role involves collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enhance supplier relationships, manage inventory levels, and drive overall supply chain performance on service levels, inventory levels & transportation costs. The job scope is related to all buy for resale from suppliers & overseeing the procurement process on raw materials & subcontracting flow in the factories. This is a role managing a team of ~10-15 people and indirectly overseeing the material procurement in the factories from a planning process standpoint. Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with commodity teams and suppliers to ensure effective execution of replenishment, effective collaboration, and communication. Give inputs to the supply chain terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve favourable agreements. (via the commodity/upstream collaboration teams) Supply Chain Optimization: Implement and execute strategies to optimize the supply chain, including inventory management, lead time reduction, and order- fulfilment and Master Production Scheduling in collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Demand Forecasting: Work actively and closely with demand planning teams to understand product demand trends. Actively participate and align with the commodity/collaboration teams to ensure capabilities to fulfil future customer requirements. Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure they align with supplier production schedules and customer demand. Implement inventory optimization techniques to minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels. Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in the flow of goods or changes in market conditions. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plan together with the commodity/collaboration teams. Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure customer and supplier performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness. Analyse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives together with the commodity/collaboration teams & suppliers. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, logistics, and procurement teams, to ensure alignment of replenishment plans with organizational goals. Participate in cross-functional meetings and communicate effectively with various departments. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supplier planning function to make it more efficient & transport cost controlled. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in supplier the planning activities. What your background should look like: +10 year of experience in various supply chain functions Proven experience in supply chain management, supplier planning, or related roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Knowledge of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, and inventory management. Familiarity with ERP systems and other supply chain management tools. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. Leadership and team management skills.
