About the job

  • The mission of the Compliance Review Control Senior Officer is to ensure that Compliance operates effectively in line with RISK Operational Risks management & Permanent Control standards, as well as contribute to the Compliance risks servicing the Chief Compliance officers and Operational perimeters by testing & challenging the end-to-end set up performing the second line of defense testing on Compliance. The role of Compliance Review Control Senior Officer is directed to a controller with higher level of expertise in designated domains and, in addition, the ability to be involved in different processes and domains - showing transversal skills. The senior officer should also be capable of acting autonomously with regards to stakeholders and guiding his/her colleagues.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Conduct a mission and/or ensure control execution (remotely or on site) including its applicability and quality; the controls should be performed efficiently ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Contribute/perform 4 eyes check on the controls executed and perform follow-ups ensuring that Action Plans are duly implemented and coping with deadlines
  • Deal with significant issues and escalations requiring Management attention and propose solution(s) also acting independently and guiding other controllers through these issues and escalations
  • Be the key point of contact and keep a good level of communication between locations and any contributor (stakeholders, IG...) to continually improve the effectiveness of the current framework
  • Identify and escalate issues according to defined procedures. Particularly, inform management of all significant and urgent compliance matters that require such escalation
  • Prepare and present results to Senior Management, Business stakeholders and Compliance Officers, produce reports and also assist in the design and preparation of periodic Management reports and dashboards for senior management and the business; feed the team KPIs (e.g. progression files)
  • Contribute proactively to the creation, implementation and update of SOPs; TORs or other Procedures
  • Answer any internal & external audit or regulatory requests precisely, fairly and in due time. Implement recommendations as directed
  • Contribute proactively to projects and the on boarding of new controls or activities and CCRM initiatives

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Practical experience in Compliance or other control domains; audit, legal, risk or similar
  • Knowledge of Compliance processes (tools, processes, products)
  • Committed to confidentiality, integrity and objectivity
  • Analytical and judgmental profile
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and consult at all levels
  • Know how to adapt, how to plan and organise the workload
  • Good level of oral and written English and French
  • Be solution oriented; proactively propose solutions to the problems encountered
