Bring your passion, potential and talents to a career that matters.Responsibilities includeAs a member of the Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organization, the Applications Engineer will work closely with the International Sales Organization to develop and grow Motorola Solutions businesses.The Applications Engineer is responsible for technical aspects of the sales process and works closely with the Sales Teams involved to develop and position solutions involving Video Security & Access control products, writing and answering specs for tenders, driving product tests in complex scenarios and organizing/delivering training to employees and partners.During the needs analysis process, confirm that the products and solutions meet the prospect’s requirements and assist in technical qualifications. Throughout the proposal process, articulate the technology and demonstrate Motorola’s value proposition to both business and technical stakeholders. Position Motorola products relative to competition and formulate systems designs that comply with both technical and budgetary requirements. Applications Engineers have the opportunity to adopt one or more of the solutions offerings and become a subject matter expert in that subset of the Motorola Solutions Portfolio, being responsible for executing a plan to increase and consolidate the knowledge of the field sales and pre-sales teams.Applications engineers also take care of the logistics for EMEA Demo pool, being the EMEA warehouse located in the same office.While Applications Engineers are normally working from an Motorola Solutions office, domestic and international traveling may be required in a reasonable manner.Your key responsibilities will include (not limited to): Effectively disseminate product knowledge by providing thorough training to field sales, pre-sales, consultants, partners and end users as required (may require travel)Support Sales teams in responding to RFPs, designs, specifications, and quotesSupport Pre-Sales field escalations and manage to engage the required resources in Motorola to deliver a solutionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with Sales teams, consultants, partners and end usersCreate technical documentation about new products introduction or linked to particular customer problems and/or use cases being worked by the Applications Engineering teamIf required, collaborate with the Technical Support, Escalations teams in providing post-sales support to customersHave positive attitude and can properly manage time and tasks, even when under pressure or having short deadlinesPerform related duties as assignedSupport the Pre-Saled Logistics Operations team in managing the EMEA Demo Pool warehouses, which can occasionally require packaging and shipping, warehousing organization, inventory, system administration tasks for demo gear requests, or other EMEA demo pool related activitiesValidate from a technical perspective any build of materials and or quotes delivered by the International Inside Sales teamsSupport the Events Marketing team organizing field events, such as roadshows, trade shows, partners events, including in-house pre-setup of systems and shipping to the designated location. May require international traveling for setup and attending roadshows, trade shows, partners eventsOnsite activities including international traveling when required, such as site surveys, systems audits and commissioningPreference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experienceExperience in commissioning video and access control systemsExperience in Cloud hosted video and access control platformsUniversity degree or diploma in technology mattersPrior experience in the security industry, including certifications in enterprise and/or cloud hosted video and/or access control solutionsMicrosoft, Cisco and/or any other relevant technical certifications Domain of other languages rather than English - French preferred.
