The Master Data Assistant will report directly to the Manager of the Master Data Management Team.

This role will be responsible for the setup, administration and maintenance of master records utilised across the business processes.

They will handle the customer and supplier master data as well as finance master data and transactional data content and ensure accuracy to enable business process consistency

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the setup, administration and maintenance of master records utilised across the business processes Handle the customer and supplier master data and transactional data content and ensure accuracy to enable business process consistency Facilitate the supplier certification process through capturing the outputs in the relevant databases and proactively monitor to track continued adherence
  • Support the review of quality documentation from suppliers to confirm adherence to specification and capture outputs in relevant databases
  • Maintain chart of account and cost centre data Monitor vendor activity and block or remove vendor records as required Execute customer / supplier profile changes and modifications, including to contact information, banking information and payment details. Ensure the highest degree of data quality (i.e. eliminate duplicates)
  • Oversee elements of the self-service portals
  • Interact/ communicate with customers, suppliers and GKN employees when master changes or verifications are needed
  • Follow processes and procedures to ensure data quality, and work cross-functionally to resolve data issues to ensure all business processes run as planned
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of priorities and decisions.
  • Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Perform other reasonable duties within the Master Data Management pillar as required
