Solution Architect - Lisbon  Capgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Solution Architect to join one of the world’s most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry.  Our Client is the owner of prestigious Maisons distinguished by their craftsmanship, creativity, and technological innovation. Our Client’s ambition is to nurture the unique heritage and values of its Maisons and businesses, while enabling them to grow and prosper in a responsible, sustainable manner over the long term.  To leverage Lisbon’s tech spirit and infuse it into its brand-new Tech Competence Centre, our Client is looking to reinforce its technical capabilities on state-of-the-art technology and respond to the growth of their business. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce. Responsibilities  Understand global IT strategy and business needs to define detailed architectures.  Be able to explain and communicate technical options.  Provide recommendations in the selection and use of technology, such as “Rent, Buy or Build”.  Collaborate with other teams to ensure architectural solution could be suitably translated into effectual and robust implementation.  Define and enforce best practices and architecture guidelines in the developed Product/Solution.  Ensure third-party products fit in the organization ecosystem.  Collaborate with the DevOps team to define/improve automation tools/processes.  Review, challenge, and validate architectural solutions.  Always keep up to date architecture documentation related to all products/solutions within the product area.  Review processes, operations, and implementations to ensure compliance with regulations standards and security requirements.   Additional related activities as identified and required.  Academic Background  Engineer degree preferred in an IT-related field.    Skills & Experience  8 years’ experience in a similar domain.  Strong and confirmed experience in Java development.  Strong technical background in internet related technologies including open source, J2E, and ability to discover new ones.   Experience of the full software development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and functional specification, to development, testing and delivery.  Excellent knowledge of Java & associated technology stack.  Experience in software architecture and development lifecycle.   TOGAF certification is a plus.  Hands on experience MACH architecture implementation.  Experience with Digital Commerce & Retail is a plus.  Advanced knowledge of Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot (3.x), Spring Data JPA / Hibernate, Spring Cloud.  Microservice / distributed system and Event Driven architectures (AMQP, JMS, Pub/Sub).  Experience working with RDBMS (MySql) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)  At ease with development tools and processes like Maven, Git, IntelliJ.  Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing.  Agile methodologies.  Technical knowledge and experience with e-Commerce processes and solutions.  Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is an asset.  Fluent in English (mandatory). French is a desirable plus.    Desired Personal Skills  Good communication skills, with high attention to detail.  Fluent in English. French and other languages are a plus.  Ability to communicate with people from the business and technical fields.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Focused and agile under pressure.  Strong customer service focus, with the ability to communicate with highly technical and business teams.   Ability to work in a flat and versatile organization, and on multi-national / -cultural projects.  You must have an excellent perception of the issues and has an uncanny knack of being able to uncover the true story.    Interview Process  Our team will actively review all applications.
