As part of the newly created Nespresso Supply Chain Service Center in Lisbon, we are currently looking for a full time Global Senior Demand Planner. Your main responsibility will be to develop, maintain and improve a Demand Plan for a portfolio of products, which represents the most realistic estimate of customer demand. Ensure the alignment of this Demand Plan with internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning process. Identify and manage exceptions, and monitor performance in order to continually improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan and the Company’s ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GLOBAL SENIOR DEMAND PLANNER

  • Collect Information and Assumptions received from Markets and HQ Marketing, Commercial and Finance;
  • Liaise with HQ Marketing and Commercial in order to understand if all launch or phase-out information have been submitted to the markets, prior to Supply Chain communication;
  • Request and support markets in providing their 18 rolling months demand plan of new products;
  • Ensure that phase-out products are reflected in the market 18 rolling months demand plan;
  • Consolidate and challenge market forecasts;
  • Check and challenge Market's DPA results;
  • Through systematic reporting, ad-hoc reports and communication ensure that Demand Plan information is available to all internal stakeholders;
  • Support the MBP meetings (MFR, MOR, Zone MBP) by collecting inputs from internal stakeholders and preparing the presentation materials;
  • Analyse the 18 rolling months demand plan and ensure alignment with Dynamic Forecasts;
  • Challenge Supply Chain Teams in the markets and understand if their 18 rolling months demand plan is consistent with business development;
  • Support markets with problem solving initiatives to reach KPI targets (e.g. GSTD, DMAIC);

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFULL

  • Degree or Master’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics or Management
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Demand & Supply Planning;
  • Has successfully led project lead in at least on of the following areas: Sales / Marketing; Finance: Business Planning & Dynamic Forecasting; Demand & Supply Planning; Supply Chain Development
  • Good knowledge of supply chain KPIs (demand plan accuracy, stock cover, stock availability, etc.)
  • Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP-BW, any Business Intelligence tool
  • Previous experience with SAP would be relevant
  • Very good level of English (other language is an advantage)
  • Analytical and structured thinker with the ability to methodically break down complex issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
