Who You'll Work With :

  • You’ll be based in our new hub in Lisbon as part of our Client Capabilities Network (CCN). You’ll join a new team of CCN colleagues with whom you will be collaborating on a daily basis. Additionally you will be interacting with a wide range of McKinsey colleagues both locally and internationally.- Your team will primarily focus on providing research support on European countries. Within that team you will provide coverage on a wide range of topics for the UK & Ireland specifically. In time, as a member of our Client Capabilities Network, you will get the opportunity to develop your expertise in a relevant industry or business function. McKinsey leaders will provide mentorship and sponsorship and help you further build your capabilities.- What You'll Do :

  • You will leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues and concepts to efficiently respond to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our consulting teams and clients.- In this role, you will work alongside senior knowledge professionals on larger client projects and internal knowledge initiatives. By collecting and analyzing data and information found in databases and/or other primary and secondary research tools, you will assemble a fact base, counsel consultants and clients on the scope of the business and economic trends surrounding the issue, and provide insights and analysis for solving client problems at hand.- Some of your day-to-day activities may include identifying the key issues for the problem at hand and determining the most appropriate solution while effectively balancing quality, availability, timeliness and cost factors. You’ll perform a variety of analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections, opportunity scanning, etc., in order to add value to problem-solving discussions.- You’ll provide synthesis, insight and client implications within tight deadlines via end products in the form of PowerPoint charts, written memos, models and framework. In time, you will also participate in, and eventually lead, internal knowledge development and capability-building initiatives and you’ll use advanced analytics tools to prepare and analyze large datasets to distill insights. Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferably in economics, business or a related field

  • 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Interest in and knowledge of business, economics and societal trends

  • Strong connection to the United Kingdom and Ireland (e.g. education, internship experience in the UK)

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization

  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively

  • Fluent command of the English language, both verbal and written

  • Available to work in Lisbon full time
