(Junior) Data Scientist

As Data Scientist you will work in a global team of experts delivering Data Science products and know-how to diverse areas all over the tire business.  If you’d love to join a global team that works on the latest technologies and creates value-added solutions for customers, Continental is the perfect match for you.  Your main responsibilities will be: Be integral part of projects in an area of specialization like Sales, Marketing or Manufacturing; Work with domain experts to understand their problems and solve them with data; Understand the Continental Tires data landscape with its diverse applications and architectures; Be a partner in connecting the necessary experts from business and IT to solve problems; Get involved into different tasks at once and involve yourself with our team to get the support you need; Support in shaping the processes and organization to leverage the business value Data Science can bring to our enterprise. Qualifications Academic degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar studies; Minimum 1 year of IT or industry working experience; Good knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Statistics; Expertise in programming data science use cases with a widespread programming language from the community (e.g., Python, R); Experience with data extraction from diverse sources like common data bases, streaming, APIs or SAP systems; Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle; Knowledge on data management, data engineering and data visualization (is a plus); Good knowledge of data intensive IT architectures; Very good communication skills; Experience with Agile methodologies; Experience working in a multinational company (is a plus); Proficient English language skills (written and spoken).
