Technical Infrastructure Consultant / DBA - Golden Gate & DAS

Technical Infrastructure / DBA Consultants are relied upon to use their knowledge of database administration, Oracle Application Servers, and hardware systems to ensure appropriate installation, configuration, and operations of software and underlying infrastructure components. This role will require some rostered weekend shift work as a part of a rotated team to support our AMS clients out of business hours.

We rely on our Technical Infrastructure Consultants to:

• Update and maintain Oracle RDBMS
• Perform installation and configuration of Oracle Retail footprint
• Assist in defining and ensuring adherence to both Oracle Retail and OLR database standards
• Analyse database and hardware sizing and capacity planning
• Backup/Restore Oracle Databases
• Perform performance and tuning of Oracle Databases
• Perform Linux administration tasks
• Physical to virtual infrastructure migrations (Oracle Cloud / Azure / AWS)
• Support and Maintenance on-prem and Cloud Environments
• Provide on-call support as needed during non-business hours

We are looking for Technical Infrastructure Consultants with:

• Experience of Oracle DBA administration
• Strong skills of Linux system administration
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization
• Professional and strong interpersonal approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Mandatory Skills:

• Oracle WebLogic
• Knowledge of Oracle Retail footprint and Architecture suite of modules and on Oracle technologies (Oracle Databases, Oracle WebLogic’s, Oracle OIM / OAM, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle SOA)
• PL/SQL, Linux (system administration), OBIEE, OAS
• Oracle GoldenGate

Experience Preferred:

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
