Responsibilities: Delivery: Lead the design, development, and operation of a scalable and reliable data platform.Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality and within budget.Oversee the adoption of best practices in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration. Team and People Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development plans for team members. Team Growth: Identify talent needs and participate in the hiring process to grow the team strategically.Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing and technical skill development. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet these requirements.Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project progress. Skills, competencies and qualifications:Required: 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a software engineering individual contributor position.Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously, including setting priorities, leading cross-functional initiatives, and managing project timelines and deliverables.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience in leading change management efforts, including the ability to manage team dynamics, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and navigate organisational changes effectively.Solid background working in a SDLC with a standard programming language.Technical background in data architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems principles.Proficient in SQL and experience big data technologies.Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Google BigQuery, PubSub, and the GCP ecosystem.Previous experience in the Contact Center industry.
