About the role We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a Committed bilingual professional fluent in both English and Portuguese, specializing in Maintenance to be based at our manufacturing plant in Aljustrel in Portugal. As a Specialist - Maintenance, you will be pivotal to Orica’s success, as you will manage all the maintenance program for site operations equipment including MMU, underground equipment, Fixed Plants and Assets. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that preventative maintenance programs are in place and active, managing and monitoring critical spares and supporting the operations when break downs occur. What you will be doing Project managing opportunities for asset system and maintenance strategy improvements; Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of MCU (Mobile Manufacturing units - Underground), mechanical-, hydraulic - and pneumatic powered equipment; Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to component replacement and complex fault analysis; Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions; Producing timely and detailed service maintenance reports; Stock management in SAP (Purchase Requisitions, Goods receive, stock counts) Developing, embedding, and continuously improving upon business reporting solutions and metrics to support business decision making; Systematically evaluating potential opportunities for continuous improvement; Providing specialist Business Improvement advice, training, support, and expertise across the business. What you will bring Engineering Certificate, Diploma, or Degree. Or Technical Education; Standard Mechanic skills for a workshop environment; Electric and Hydraulic basic knowledge; Capacity to talk with clients and offer proper solutions for their demands; Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders; Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
