We are looking for a SHE Specialist to join our HR & Business Services team. Your mission will be to ensure compliance with all safety and health procedures at work, controlling and maintaining compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. You will also need to ensure effective implementation of the S&H plans. Monitor site standards, recognize good performance as well as challenge and address poor performance. It will be also under your scope to communicate with local authorities and communities as well as Nestlé management.

A day in the life of a SHE Specialist

• Coordinate the development and implementation of the SHE objectives and planned activities in accordance with corporate goals from Nestlé PT, market and business;
• Ensure Compliance with local legislation and all Nestlé SHE standards and principles, including NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence), Lean, legal, internal standards and others;
• Implement, control, maintain and improve the SHE Management Systems including achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications;
• Develop and implement tools, specific initiatives, awareness campaigns as part of the SHE strategy and program;
• Ensure that support, training and coaching is provided to team leaders to develop their knowledge of risk management, legislation and duties as to new employees, external workers and others;
• Support and develop the risk assessment program, including risk assessment of workstations/jobs, incident investigation, audits and corrective actions, as well as focus on SHE culture;
• Support Occupational Medicine on risk assessment, accidents or occupational diseases;
• Back up of the Security Delegate for Linda-a-Velha HQ building;
• Other relevant activities.

What will make you successful

• University degree in Engineering or other similar area
• Training Course in Technical of Occupational Health and Safety - Level VI (mandatory)
• At least 5 years of proven operational experience in a similar area
• Previous experience on coordinating ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications
• Solid knowledge of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma methodologies or similar
• Experience of working in cross-functional teams would be a plus
• Proficiency in English and an intermediate level of Spanish (preferred)
• Solid command of MS Office, particularly Excel (mandatory) and Power BI would be plus
• Analytical and structured thinker with the ability to methodically break down complex issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactiveness in anticipating issues or improving current practices.
• Ability to translate policies & standards into practical action plans
• Plan and prioritise different responsibilities/ projects effectively
• Ability to coach individuals and teams in different environments
